“Nanoscience and Nanotechnology: Are We Facing a Silent Revolution?”

Free Activity

It has been more than 20 years since nanoscience and nanotechnology (NiN) burst into the world of science and technology. Since that moment, research results and their applications have not stopped growing. What materials are used, what properties do they have and what techniques allow them to be studied? Why can it be applied in fields as distant as electronics, environmental sciences or medicine? Where are we now? What are the limits of NiN?

The great questions of science is a cycle of conferences organized by the Consortium for Environment and Public Health (SIGMA), the Espai Cràter and the Patronat d’Estudis Històrics d’Olot i Comarca (PEHOC). Its aim is to deal with current scientific and technological topics suitable for everyone. The advisory committee is in charge of drawing up the program, which has experts in the selected topics. The talks take place one Friday a month, from October to May, in the Sala Magma of the Cràter Space.
