Let’s discover the Moon with AstroGarrotxa

Free activity

The Astronomical Association of La Garrotxa (AstroGarrotxa) has been bringing astronomy closer to schools and to the general public of the region for nearly 40 years. In this talk, we will learn about the organization’s history, its outreach projects, and the recent upgrade of its technical equipment.

The session will conclude with a live remote observation of the Moon from Espai Cràter, allowing us to explore some of the craters and seas of our natural satellite through the telescopes of the Batet de la Serra Observatory.

In the event of bad weather, the observation will be replaced by a demonstration of how the remote observation system works.
