This round table will connect the practice of textiles with the feminist concern for care. Different national and international artists who work with textiles and value it as a task that implies a willingness to care for the other will take part: with their own hands, those who pick up the needle and thread make a soft shelter from which to face the harshness of the world.
Olot Tèxtil
Between April and August, a series of activities will focus on the past, present, and future of textiles in Olot. An industrial activity that marked the town’s urban planning and economy, but which today is present in other forms, perhaps more creative or more community-based. We will find heritage and artistic exhibitions in the museums and also shows, concerts, itineraries, talks, and many other surprises that we will be revealing as we go along.
