‘Why multiple sclerosis is the disease of a thousand faces’?

Multiple sclerosis is the neurodegenerative disease that causes the greatest neurological disability in adults. It can present itself in many different ways and evolve in many different ways. Is it all that it seems? What really happens in the brain in people with MS? How has its diagnosis and treatment changed in the last thirty years? What is the personal, family and social impact of the disease? Thanks to science and research, progress has been made in the knowledge of the disease and in recent years it is the neurological disease that has changed the most in terms of management.

Els grans interrogants de la ciència is a series of conferences organized by the Environment and Public Health Consortium (SIGMA), the Espai Cràter, and the Board of Historical Studies of Olot and Region (PEHOC). Its objective is to discuss current scientific and technological topics suitable for everyone. The advisory committee is in charge of preparing the program, which has experts on selected topics. The talks occur one Friday a month, from October to May, in the Sala Magma of Espai Cràter.
