Let’s listen to the beats of the Barri Vell

The Barri Vell is one of the most characteristic urban landscapes of the city of Olot and a clear reference point for the Olot art scene. Laia Sánchez, from Citilab, and Pau Llonch, from Versembrant, proposed a walk from the church of Sant Esteve to vibrate through the creativity and expression of the young people who live in the neighbourhood. In this workshop, rap was one of the protagonists, because it is a perfect pretext to address some of the issues that concern young people, such as discomfort, racism, xenophobia and sexism, through art. During the meeting, aesthetics was put at the service of criticism in order to create by rethinking the environment and reflecting on their own experiences.
