Espai Cràter is a multidisciplinary centre that promotes knowledge about volcanoes, science, and society. This contemporary project works in an innovative, experiential and participatory manner in order to address those global challenges that impact us at a local level. It is designed to act as a meeting point for the educational, social and scientific communities.

As a socio-educational space, Espai Cràter is committed to opening up to the people and groups of the city, to being an active part of its development and to creating an inclusive and valuable educational project.

As a scientific area, it seeks to become both a national and an international benchmark in the field of volcanology, through the creation of links with schools, institutions and other organizations in order to promote projects and activities.

Exhibitions, audiovisual displays, debates, workshops, and more, Espai Cràter has designed a programme in which a diversity of offers, participation and languages ​​are the seen as the fundamental resources with which to reach the whole community. The centre marks a wholesale commitment to the creation and promotion of social culture from a public area.
